To Be There (Luke Meddings)
What does it mean to be there for our students? How can we be more present in class, for them and to ourselves? What are the challenges, and what are the upsides, of teaching in the moment? In this session we’ll look at some inspirational scrapbook material from the worlds of film, music and medicine to help us reflect on the nature of attention, and to consider what might flow from a more active, responsive and curious approach to teaching.

The Art of the Unplanned: Quick Reactions for When Plans Go Off Track (Bita Rezaei)
Teaching is full of surprises, but how you respond to the unexpected can make all the difference. In this session, you'll learn how to shift your mindset and embrace disruptions as opportunities for growth. You'll walk away with practical strategies and go-to activities that can save the day when things don’t go as planned. These simple, effective techniques will help you stay calm, adaptable, and confident, ensuring that you’re always ready to turn classroom challenges into moments of deeper learning.
